Kew Lin (b. 1988) is a Singaporean writer-director, whose latest short film Aunt Lotus & Her Dream Bicycle (2022) garnered more than 600,000 online views and more than 1000 physical attendance on its world premiere. The short received the Honourable Mention Award at the Los Angeles Chinese Film Festival Scriptwriting Competition and went on to compete at Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia.
As a screenwriter, Kew has co-written feature film Love Possibly (2018), which won the Best Screenplay Award at the Sochi International Film Festival and is available on Apple TV+, Paramount+ and Amazon Prime Video. He has also co-written the SGIFF Silver Screen Award winner Smoke Gets In Your Eyes (2022), directed by Alvin Lee.
Based in London, Kew is currently developing his debut absurd comedy feature, which was given the Special Mention Award at Berlinale’s Talents Tokyo in 2023.
